The Diplomat Steakhouse is the place you want to be, no matter what you're craving.  Of course our name says we're a steakhouse - that's our specialty.  But have a look at our menu and you'll find all the staples you need to go home happy.  And if you have a special request that isn't on the menu, just ask.  Chances are our people can whip something up for you.

Why do The Diplomat steaks taste better than the ones I cook at home?

It has to do with the grade of beef and the number of days the meat has been aged. Grocery stores typically age their meat between 10 and 14 days while restaurant steaks are aged a minimum of 21 days prior to being delivered to the restaurant. Then we age all our beef for an additional 21 days after being delivered to the restaurant. During the ageing process, the natural enzymes in the meat continue to break down the connective tissues to further tenderize the meat. 

The other factor is the grade of beef we buy. The Diplomat buys a grade of beef known as Angus Pride (not to be confused with Angus beef) and their are only 2 restaurants in Regina that serve this high grade of beef. The beef you buy in the grocery store will generally be at least two grades lower.

We've also got a full selection of steaks, ribs, chops, soups, salads, and burgers.  And hey, why not have a glass of wine with lunch?

Take Away

Need to get back to the office?  There's no reason you can't have a great lunch when you're tight for time.  

Just have a look at our take away menu and call us at 359-3366 before noon with your order.  You can pick it up any time between 11:00 and 2:00 Monday to Friday, just let us know when you'll be by.
